Welcome to NeurotechEU<\/span> at UMH!<\/p>\n

The European University of Brain and Technology \u2013 NeurotechEU<\/span><\/a> \u2013 is an alliance of nine European universities<\/a> whose aim is to create a transnational campus of excellence. NeurotechEU’s goal is to train the next generation of scientists in the field of neurotechnology.<\/p>\n

NeurotechEU seeks to be a flexible higher education space shared among universities, linking education to research, innovation, and society. With this objective, the Alliance provides its students with direct access to cutting-edge technologies and infrastructures<\/b> for fundamental and translational research on the brain in health and disease, thus contributing to increasing the competitiveness of European education, research, economy, and society.<\/p>\n

Allied universities<\/h1>\n

NeurotechEU is comprised of nine European universities, each contributing its distinctive expertise and strengths to enrich the alliance:<\/p>\n

    European Universities – a key pillar of the European Education Area<\/h1>\n

    In 2017, European Union leaders outlined a vision for education and culture. In late 2017, the European Council called on EU Member States, the Council, and the Commission to take forward a number of initiatives, including \u2018European Universities Area\u2019.<\/p>\n

    The European Universities Initiative facilitates the exchange of education, research, and employment. This means that students can take lessons at all the institutions involved, not constrained by institutional capabilities and borders. They can thus gain international experience and benefit from the specific expertise of the various universities. For scientists, it will lead to the improvement of the education they provide and to smoother cooperation in research.<\/p>\n

    In this way, the initiative trains new researchers and engineers at the highest possible level, with a background and network in several institutes. This improves Europe\u2019s position in brain research and engineering and provides well-educated people to tackle future societal problems.<\/p>\n

    The European University of Brain and Technology -NeurotechEU, is one of the 64 European Universities Alliances cofunded by the European Union. <\/p>\n
