NeurotechEU contributes to the goal of creating a more interconnected, inclusive, and responsive European Higher Education Area by advancing research and education in the strategic field of brain science and technology.<\/p>\n

To achieve this, it participates in the development of a shared conceptual framework, common values, and established communication and training platforms.<\/a> NeurotechEU will not only increase mobility and exchange opportunities for students and staff but also foster collaboration in joint research and innovation projects, as well as science outreach initiatives, with a particular focus on promoting diversity and inclusion.<\/p>\n

BEATRICS Project<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Proyecto<\/span>With this aim, NeurotechEU-UMH has collaborated in the activities of the BEATRICS Project<\/strong><\/a>, which seeks to create a more inclusive space for science, starting in pre-university classrooms, to encourage changes in attitudes and behaviours towards science and technology.<\/p>\n

The proposed activities and readings will help younger students avoid ruling out higher education in science and technology simply because they are not \u2018the best in the class\u2019 or because they are not often told they have a \u2018natural aptitude\u2019 for STEM careers.<\/p>\n

BEATRICS offers online resources such as Ciencia en tu Sal\u00f3n<\/em><\/a>, a series of activities compiled in a teaching guide, and the travelling exhibition #HerStoryOfScience which visits schools and colleges across the province of Alicante.<\/p>\n

Brain Awareness Week<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Since 2025, NeurotechEU has been collaborating with Brain Awareness Week<\/strong><\/a>, organized by the Institute of Neurosciences (UMH-CSIC), with the aim of promoting and disseminating scientific knowledge related to the Central Nervous System and fostering public enthusiasm and support for neuroscience research.<\/p>\n

Each year, various activities are held during this week for students and the general public, showcasing recent advances in brain research as well as the methods used in these studies. As part of Brain Awareness Week, the Brain and Society<\/strong> lecture series, supported by the Remedios Caro Almela Chair of Developmental Neurobiology, will feature a special conference this year bringing together experts to discuss Cajal\u2019s influence on modern neuroscience.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the program will include photography and science communication exhibitions such as Cajal: Science and Art<\/strong> and #HerStoryofScience.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
