Organised by researchers <strong>Santiago Canals and Silvia De Santis<\/strong> from the Institute of Neurosciences, a joint centre of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the UMH, this second edition brought together over 20 students from various NeurotechEU partner universities.<\/p>\n<p>The experts who participated, alongside the course coordinators, in this second edition were the Professor of Medical Imaging and Electronics at the Polytechnic University of Valencia,<strong> David Moratal;<\/strong> the Staff Scientist at the Sols-Morreale Biomedical Research Institute. IIBM (CSIC-UAM), <strong>Pilar L\u00f3pez-Larrubia; Maximilian Eggl<\/strong>, researcher at the Institute of Neurosciences CSIC-UMH; and <strong>Mohamed Selim<\/strong>, a researcher at the University of Nottingham, specialising in computational neuroimaging.<\/p>\n<p>The summer school programme covered the full spectrum, <strong>from the technical aspects of MRI hardware and the fundamental principles of image formation to the biological origins of different image contrasts.<\/strong> This enabled participants to gain a solid understanding of widely used techniques such as relaxometry, diffusion-based imaging, and functional MRI, while also exploring their biological foundations and key applications in biomedical and neuroscience research.<\/p>\n<p>As a new addition compared to the previous edition, this year&#8217;s course featured the a<strong>pplications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for both data acquisition and analysis,<\/strong> highlighting its transformative role in modern neuroimaging.<\/p>\n<iframe  id=\"_ytid_52068\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"  data-origwidth=\"800\" data-origheight=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MiFt7ev5XbY?enablejsapi=1&autoplay=0&cc_load_policy=0&cc_lang_pref=&iv_load_policy=1&loop=0&modestbranding=0&rel=1&fs=1&playsinline=0&autohide=2&theme=dark&color=red&controls=1&\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  no-lazyload\" title=\"YouTube player\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe>\n<p>This activity was organised by NeurotechEU-UMH and the Institute of Neurosciences CSIC-UMH, and co-funded by the European Union, with the aim of participating in the creation of a pioneering transnational campus for the education and training of future researchers in the field of neurotechnology.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH), in conjunction with the European University of Brain and Technology -NeurotechEU, held the second edition of its Summer School on Preclinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy from 9th to 11th July.
