Having passed the midterm of the second phase (2023-2027) of the European University of Brain and Technology \u2013NeurotechEU, the Alliance’s Board of Governors met at Radboud University on April 8 and 9 to consolidate the action plans that will define the conclusion of this second stage. The Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (UMH) was represented by Juana Gallar, the project’s academic leader at UMH and director of the Institute of Neurosciences, a joint center of UMH and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).<\/p>\n

Over three days, the participants established the strategy to ensure the achievement of NeurotechEU’s objectives. Among the topics discussed were the standardization of processes within the Alliance framework and the design of specific actions to increase student mobility between member universities and their partner institutions, including promoting internationalization at home. Furthermore, the creation of the Brain Bus has been proposed, a series of outreach activities on neurotechnology aimed at pre-university students, undergraduate students, and the general public.<\/p>\n

NeurotechEU is an alliance of nine European universities funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ European Universities Programme. The objective of this initiative is to promote transnational partnerships to create inter-university campuses for higher education. In the case of NeurotechEU, the area of \u200b\u200bstudy is neurotechnology. In addition to UMH, the NeurotechEU Alliance currently comprises eight other European universities: Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands), Karolinska Institute (Sweden), University of Bonn (Germany), Bosphorus University (Turkey), Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Romania), University of Lille (France), Reykjavik University (Iceland), and the Medical University of Innsbruck (Austria).<\/p>\n
