Azorín, the seminar will present various Brain–Machine Interfaces (BMIs) developed at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche for controlling lower-limb exoskeletons and discuss their potential in neurorehabilitation.

Anna Sigríður Íslind from Reykjavik University will explore how new data sources—such as wearables, mobile apps, and patient-reported data—can improve how we study sleep.

From the University of Lille, Christel Vanbesien will highlight a highly energy-efficient artificial neuron developed in Lille using Complementary Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor (CMOS) technology and discuss how these systems could help restore or enhance brain function.

Finally, Jérémie Dequidt from the University of Lille will demonstrate how soft and flexible robots can improve neurotechnologies, making procedures safer and more effective. Key challenges in handling delicate neural structures will be addressed, and new solutions based on soft robotics and real-time simulation will be presented.

You can find the complete program here.

If you want to attend online, you have to register here.

The European University of Brain and Technology – NeurotechEU and the Karolinska Institutet, a member of the Alliance, are organising the online seminar “Advances in Neurotechnology: Bridging Brain, Data, and Machines” on 7 May.
