NeurotechEU Summer School: Neurotechnologies in Cellular and Systems Neuroscience

Neurotechnologies in Cellular and Systems Neuroscience Summer school is organized by NeurotechEU and the University of Radboud. It will take place from July 8th to July 12th, 2024. The program aims to understand neuronal mechanisms underlying human behavior and the growth of the mind.

One of the course objectives is to become familiar with four types of setups: electrophysiological recordings with individual glass electrodes (whole-cell patch-clamp and field potentials), multiple electrode arrays, high-density silicon probes, and multi-photon microscopy with constitutively expressed calcium sensors

The program will provide a lecture series from local and international experts on (large-scale) electrophysiology, multi-photon imaging, and biosensors. Theoretical fundamentals of the techniques, how they work, what they measure, and their strengths and weaknesses will be discussed. In parallel, practical mini-projects based on techniques will be conducted, allowing you to design, conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments

The summer school is intended for master’s and early-stage doctoral students who are interested in conducting research in systems neuroscience shortly.
