NeurotechEU students

18 April 2024

NeurotechEU students have the opportunity to be part of the Synapses Club, an association managed by the students themselves. Its main goal is to create a space where students can share ideas, experiences, and time.

The Synapses Club organizes events, virtual and in-person, as well as talks and presentations centered around neuroscience and neurotechnology. For example, the UMH Synapses Club hosted in December 2023 “Workshop on Science Communication” and is working on a new proposal for this year.

Being a member of the Club offers several benefits within the student community of the universities affiliated with NeurotechEU:

  • Official email signature.
  • The eventual opportunity to represent the Miguel Hernández University of Elche in the Student Council.
  • Extra points in the application for a UMH – NeurotechEU mobility activity.
  • Participation in raffles for items or events related to neuroscience and neurotechnology.
  • The opportunity to travel and create their own network.
  • Certificate upon attending a NeurotechEU mobility or workshop.

¿What type of activities does the Synapses Club organize?

Currently, the UMH Club is organizing activities such as contests, practical workshops, student-led seminars, debates, readings, and article publications.

*The Student Council represents the students of each affiliated university to the bodies that make up NeurotechEU. The Student Council consists of three students from each affiliated university, who must be members of the Synapses Club.

Currently, the students who are part of the UMH Student Council are:

Bárbara Corral Sánchez

UMH student representative,

PhD Program in Neurosciences

Desirée Irene Gracia Laso

UMH student representative,

PhD Program in Industrial and Telecommunication Technology
