Last week, the 8th Council of Rectors of the European University of Brain and Technology – NeurotechEU– was held. The meeting, organized by Boğaziçi University (Turkey), focused on the integration of the alliance. During this gathering, it was agreed that the presidency of the Board of Rectors would be assumed by Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH).

As such, UMH will replace Reykjavík University (Iceland) in this position.

The Council of Rectors is responsible for all strategic decisions at the Alliance level. Furthermore, this council must ensure a positive impact across all areas of the member universities within the Alliance. UMH is represented on the Board of Rectors by the university’s rector, Juan José Ruíz Martínez, and the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Cooperation, Vicente Micol.
