Mobilities

23 February 2026

The Karolinska Institutet, a member of the NeurotechEU Alliance, is organising the annual StratNeuro retreat in collaboration with Umeå University and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). From the 3rd to the 5th of June, in the Stockholm Archipelago, PhD students and early-career researchers will have the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by local researchers and prominent guest neuroscientists. These speakers will share the latest research across various fields of neuroscience, ranging from molecular to cognitive and social levels.

Some of the key speakers for this edition are: Anne Schäfer, Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, Germany; Nachum Ulanovsky, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel; and Grégoire Courtine and Jocelyne Bloch, EPFL and Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland.

The StratNeuro Retreat provides an environment where attendees can expand their professional networks while discussing their work with fellow experts during the popular poster session. Furthermore, this year’s retreat will feature a special day on the 3rd of June, dedicated exclusively to PhD students and focused on their professional development.
