HR Winter School on Practical Entrepreneurship for PhDs
9 June 2025
From November 10-14, the University of Reykjavik (Háskólinn í Reykjavík, HR, Iceland), part of the European University of Brain and Technology-NeurotechEU, helds the Winter School on Practical Entrepreneurship for PhDs. The course combines online pre-work with a hands-on, 5-day workshop series at the HR campus.
This course is designed for PhD researchers and post-docs with the entrepreneurial mindset, skills, and tools needed to transform scientific discoveries into viable innovations. Participants will explore the commercialization journey from ideation to market diffusion, navigate ethical and regulatory challenges, and develop compelling pitches for funders and stakeholders. Through lectures, interactive workshops, peer collaboration, expert mentoring, and real-world case studies, researchers will learn how to identify opportunities, mobilize resources, and create value (financial, societal, and/or cultural).
