NeurotechEU-Decide: Autumn School on Decision-Making

Mobilities

23 April 2026

The European University of Brain and Technology – NeurotechEU is organising the ‘NeurotechEU-Decide: Joint Autumn School on Decision-Making’ from 28 September to 2 October. Over one week, Master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdocs will gather at the University of Bonn campus (Germany) to explore how decisions are made, addressing the process from cognitive models and neural mechanisms to clinical conditions and ethical dilemmas.

The programme is organised into four key themes: an introduction to various theories and models of decision-making, focusing on how choices can be described and analysed; how neural systems shape choice behaviour, learning, and motivation; how decision processes are altered in clinical conditions and what this reveals about underlying mechanisms; and the ethics of decision-making, highlighting key challenges in decision systems.
