UMF NeurotechEU Autumn School on Advancements in Experimental Microsurgery

Mobilities

2 September 2026

Aiming to bridge the technical gap across diverse academic backgrounds, NeurotechEU member university Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie din Cluj-Napoca is organising the Autumn School on Advancements in Experimental Microsurgery, alongside Karolinska Institutet and Boğaziçi University.

Over two weeks — one online and one in-person in Cluj (Romania) — undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, as well as teaching and research staff, will acquire high-precision microsurgical skills and put them to the test through the sub-millimetre dissection of the Drosophila brain and the execution of complex in vivo microvascular anastomoses in murine models. The programme integrates medicine, biology, and neurotechnology, resulting in a unified technical language that equips students with the precision required for the future of neuroscientific interventions and translational research.
